How to Prevent Windows 10 For Automatic Turn On After Sleep!
Some time ago, my laptop was having a problem where the laptop suddenly turned on after a few minutes going into Sleep mode, even though the laptop screen was closed, he suddenly turned on, and the machine runs like it was working, of course with this the battery will automatically drain and the laptop will be hot, especially if the screen is closed.
This problem I experienced in Windows 10 May 2019 Update, and had some time ago when using Windows 10 1809 this problem also appeared and became the main problem of my laptop. Immediately, here are the best steps that I took to overcome the problem where the laptop turns itself on in a state of sleep and the screen is closed.
Disable Task Scheduler
In the picture above, it can be seen that, the problem on my laptop is the service task scheduler (Universal orchestrator start) that runs automatically. But unfortunately when I tried to turn off the task scheduler for Universal Orchestrator, he could not, because it does not provide access for us as users, even if it has to go to Admin though.
But you can fix it by using a third party tool called PSTools. First download the tool.
- Extract.
- Open CMD as Admin and enter to the directory PSTools is extracted.
- Enter this command on CMD.
psexec.exe -i -s %windir%\system32\mmc.exe /s taskschd.msc
- Task Scheduler Will Open then>
- Enter to Task Scheduler Library > Microsoft > Windows > UpdateOrchestrator.
- At this point, identify your problem (see Figure 1), because my problem is caused by (Universal orchestrator start)
- Double click on the problem, then click on conditions, and uncheck on Wake the computer to run this task.
- I also turned off Wake the computer to run this task, on some components in UpdateOrchestrator, such as Backup Scan and others, because others could be the cause of these bugs and problems.
Done, with that way, the problem is Gone.
